Setting Rules for a Fun and Pressure-Free Social Media Journey
The only thing tougher than starting is restarting. After 10 months chronically offline and slightly disconnected, here I am determined to make this social media thing work. But before I start, I'm setting some rules for myself.
Rule 1: It Has to Be Fun to Create 🥸
Gone are the days of forcing uninspired content for the sake of posting. This time around, I'm focusing on creating content that sparks joy and allows my creativity to flourish. Whether it's experimenting with new design styles or sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses into my process, every post should be a reflection of the joy I find in design.
Rule 2: No Pressure to Post ❤️
Social media shouldn't feel like a chore. I'm giving myself the freedom to post when inspiration strikes and not feel guilty about taking breaks. Quality over quantity is my new mantra, ensuring that every post I share is meaningful and authentic.
Rule 3: No Teaching. That's Not My Thing 🙅♀️
While sharing knowledge and insights can be rewarding, it's okay to take a step back and focus on other aspects of my work. This time, I'm allowing myself to explore different types of content that showcase my personality and interests outside of design.
Seeking Design Accountability Buddies 👀
Embarking on this social media journey alone can be daunting, which is why I'm reaching out to fellow designers who share my passion for creativity and authenticity. If you're also looking for a design accountability buddy, let's connect and support each other on this adventure!
Restarting my social media presence is a fresh start—a chance to rediscover my voice, connect with like-minded individuals, and share my passion for design in a way that feels genuine and fulfilling. Here's to embracing the restart and creating a social media presence that truly reflects who I am.
